Our first activity for this afternoon is we intruduce our self to 1st. yr. S.P.A.

" My First Day of School "

My first day of school is very excited because of the new adviser,school mates, meet my old friend's and classmate  and the result for continuing the 2nd year S.P.A.. I'm also sad because some of my classmate didn't pass the  continuing for 2nd year S.P.A., miss my favorite teacher . My first day of school is also full of surprises because there are some changes in our schedules and classmates. In our media arts class, our teacher, Sir Erwin Bulabog assigned a task for us, that is, to write something about our first day of school in our blog, and i enjoyed it.

The Basic Parts of a computer & its Function

1. CPU (Central Processing Unit)

The basic processing of a computer begins with memory fetch or read cycle and the memory fetch is routed to the memory unit.

2. KEYBOARD

 


A keyboard is a computer hardware input device. Originally based upon the design of the mechanical typewriter, computer keyboards have evolved with technological advances much as other computer hardware has evolved. 

 3. Mouse 

 

In computing, a mouse is a pointing device that functions by detecting two-dimensional motion relative to its supporting surface.

4. MONITOR




    A computer monitor is a display adapter that displays information processed by the computer's video card. When a video card or graphics card converts binary information from 1s and 0s into images, these images are displayed onto the directly connected monitor.

5. AVR or AUTOMATIC VOLTAGE    REGULATOR

 

 

  The AVR architecture and instruction set is available in a large family of 8-bit devices that come in a variety of packages. AVR-series chips come with as little as 1 Kbyte of Flash program memory, up to 256 Kbytes; 32 bytes to 8 Kbytes of RAM; and up to 20 MHz clock speeds.

 

1. Animation - a set of pictures simulating movement when played in a series.
2. API (Application Programming Interface) - An Inter face for letting a program communication w/
    another program.
3. Bandwidth - A measure for the speed (amount of data) you can send through an Internet connection.  The
    more bandwidth the faster the connection.
4. BVP (Bitmap) - A format for storing images.
5. Browse - Term to describe a user's movement across the web,moving from page to page via   
    hyperlinks,using a web browser.
6. Browser - the program that display websites on your computer, Exam are Microsoft Internet Explorer, 
    Netscape,& Mozilla's firefox.
7. Database - Data stored in a computer in a such a way that a computer program can easily retrieve and
    manipulate the date.
8. Dial-up Connection - In web terms. A connection to Internet via telephone and modem
9. Damion Name - The name that identifies a website like (Smartschool.com).
10. Download - To transfer a file from a remote computer to a local computer. In web terms to transfer a
      file from a websirver to a web client.
11. File - Document or set of  instructions.
12. FTP (File Transfer Protocol) - Is a standard program use to upload your web site from the program
      here it was created,to a server. One of the most common method for sending files between two
      computers.
13. GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) - A compressed format for storing images developed by
      Compo Serve. One of the most common Graphics.
14. HTML (Hyper Text Mark up Language) - HTML is the language of the web. HTML is a set of tags
      that are use to define the content,layout and the forming of the web document. Web browser use the
      HTML tags to define how to display the text.
15. HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) - The standard set of rulers for sending text files across the
      Internet. It requires an HTTP client program at the other end.
